Kuba cloth also known as Shoowa fabric  are hand woven by the  Kuba people in The Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly known as Zaire).   They use the fibers from the rafia palm, weaving them into intricate and beautiful designs, often geometric in nature. Each cloth is unique and can easily take several months to  create. The varied colors are achieved by using natural dyes on the rafia. The finished cloth panels are highly prized because of this large investment of time and talent, not to mention their great beauty. You will receive the one shown below.
